What was the point in that? You just made audio your text response to my comments in episode 91. According to the timestamp, you posted it at 5:30pm, and I had already posted responses to the text version at 5:09pm. Unless it took Libsyn 20 minutes to upload, what was the point. Not a big deal, but that's all I'm commenting here on.

"...fucked up grammar..." So Tim is only 7/8ths away from being a full-fledged mythical nigger? Ha ha ha!

I still do not side with you on this whole Garth Ennis/ Mark Millar philosophy that what an author puts on a page is what reflects his thoughts.

Carrol O'Connor, the star of "All in the Family" was a liberal, but he went with the joke and played this hardcore, ignorant bigot. Why can't people represent views that are not their own?

Wouldn't that limit what you can actually write in fiction if you can only speak in your own voice? If we take your views, then only men can write men, and humans cannot have any sort of animal, alien, or other such creature in their stories. Yeah, that sounds ridiculous, but so does your view that if you do racist, you are racist.

How come you don't think all these superhero writers are complete psychopaths, because they write stories about all sorts of violence? Where does it end?

Oh, it only ends on your line, the nigger line, because it's all about you. Come on! Maybe Ennis is a hardcore racist, but if you had to prove it in a court of law, or even to 100 random people, you would lose the argument.

You've seen the art, but I don't think you're seeing the intent. How is Ennis any different from Howard Stern, saying shocking things because he knows what gets people worked up?

P.S.: Your anti n-word phase will last just a hair longer than your vegetarian phase.

Okay and so I have to comment anyway.

>>It's entertainment for the masses, who don't read these comments.<<
So you're gonna podcast all the comments?

Could we have held such a debate in the Comics Forum or is it too explicit?

Even though blogger is backwards bullshit, I'd rather talk Thoom and podcast x here than on the comic forums.

Xantes, I don't think you're welcome on the comic forums anyway.

Thanks for telling me something I already knew. I know that Carrol O'connor was just an actor and not the writer. Just like the characters in The Boys are being written by Garth Ennis.

Isn't Ennis making light of established images? Maybe the images offend, but what does he present to you that you have not seen yourself?

So Ennis hit on religion, sexuality, gender and superheroes, but when he comes for your black ass, now you're throwing the book down in disgust? Come on!

You have any objection to the Boondocks cartoon? That is all sorts of politically incorrect, way more crazy concerning race than Garth Ennis, for sure.

That's what I think is the real reason Thoom gave up on Distorted View. They make fun of everything, old people, shaken babies, white people, Floridians, foreigners, Tim Henson, teens, celebrities, cripples, etc. but when they said something about black people, suddenly he can't listen.

I'm just so far not wanted on the Geek porch. I probably can get banned from others.
