You make it seem like VH1 has a choice of endings, drug addiction or plane crash. "Aaliyah, we have too many drug addiction endings, can you take a plane trip?"

So you prefer someone lies to you when you're dying?

Wait, on what side of this hotly debated topic was I on?
Oh, right, why are you still trying to kwanzatize Angel Salvadore? So you figure Angel Salvadore is black because a black actress is playing her role? Was Moses of English and Scottish descent because Charleston Heston played him and not a Hebrew Jew?
Does that mean Kwai Chang Caine is of Irish, English, Scottish, Welsh, German, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian and Cherokee descent, just because David Carradine played him and not half Chinese and half Caucasian as the TV show said?

I see Kevin Bacon more as a Mastermind.

If you're like Hemingway, then I guess Sarah Palin is like Shakespeare.

Thought I explained this, the rest of his entourage wasn't needed for his mission in the slums. What's not to understand?

Why should Priest move onto "better" things? Maybe he likes where he's at. Maybe he knows his limitations. Or maybe he doesn't want to be part of those worlds.

You should bash Mother Teresa, she was a inhumane animal. She supplied basically no medical care nor pain relief, she waited for the people to die because suffering is good for the soul. But when she was sick she went to the top medical establishments in the world. She kept money from crooks and thieves. Mother Teresa was a bitch.

I didn't say he should move on. By stating that he hasn't excelled outside certain boundaries, i was just trying a point.

Maybe he knows his limitations.

That's the point. He has more limitations other writers. Even Stephanie Meyers went from novels to film her first time to bat.

Oh, right, why are you still trying to kwanzatize Angel Salvadore?

No trying necessary. She's a black woman character, drawn with African features. She just has one of "those" names. There are plenty of black folks in latin and hispanic/spanish speaking communities.

But you're listening to THOOM!.

No, the point is he knows his limitations and exist where he wants, who are you his mother? That you criticize a person for not doing more just because his friends and associates do. Weren't you trying to be an actor before? Bruce Willis gets millions for his portrayals, why don't you?

She has no flatish nose. But I guess you gave in to my point, just because the actor is of certain background does not mean the character portrayed is also.

But you're listening to THOOM!.

So? I listen to Distorted View and he admits he's an idiot. Just because I listen to you doesn't mean I have to agree with you nor think you're smart. I listen to some political podcasts that I don't agree with but have to admit they do supply information.

No, I was not criticizing his failures at writing for other media (and you act as if he had a choice haha). I am using his failure to bolster my argument that his writing just isn't that good. (And no, that novel penned by Christopher Priest wasn't written by the former Jim Owsley. That's a REAL writer named CP. The boy can't even think up a PEN NAME that another writer hadn't already used.)

BTW I DON'T think Priest should've taken his writing outside of comics to movies, etc. (again, as if he had a choice in the matter) I read 'Quantum and Woody' and I believe the less people are exposed to junk like that, the better. We have enough garbage to filter through on TV and in Movies.

Jim Owsley NOT breaking out of comics is the best thing for everyone. As a matter of fact, I think DC and Marvel should hire Chris Priest less, even better, never again.

But I guess you gave in to my point

That's a fun game. I want to play, too. I GUESS Rachel True wants to have my baby, even though she only saw me once, seven years ago. I GUESS I won the lottery, even though I don't buy lottery tickets. I GUESS The Green Lantern movie is opening this Friday, even though it is not.
The only difference between me and you is that you are dumb enough to believe your fantasies.

I listen to Distorted View and he admits he's an idiot.

And the only people dumber than a self admitted idiot is the people who follow him.

Okay, but I'm questioning how is he a failure just because he hasn't chosen the same career paths as his friends and associates? It's like claiming because my friend used to be a singer and now stars in blockbuster summer movies I am a failure because my songs may be on the top ten hits list, but I'm no actor.

What fantasy, you dropped the point in the conversation, it's not whether or not she is black or Hispanic but if the nationality of an actor reflect on the nationality of the original character. Nick Fury is black in the movies, does that make him black in the original Marvel Earth-616 universe?

And the only people dumber than a self admitted idiot is the people who follow him.

Actually that's incorrect, See Pope and Catholic Church. See US Presidents and people of the US.

Didn't say that. Alan Moore chooses not to be a screenwriter or develop tv shows, etc. He wants his comic book creations to stay comics. But people are so moved by his work, the want to see it realized as a movie.

No one is moved by Priest's work to even ask him to adapt anything he's done to animation, film, etc.
THAT's my point.

>>What fantasy, you dropped the point in the conversation>>

She looks black, majority of people who weighed in on episode 37 says she is black, major movie studio picked a black chick to portray her. She's black. My point is handily won.

Nick Fury is Sam Jackson in the movies because Nick Fury is Sam Jackson in The Ultimates. You know this.

>>Actually that's incorrect, See Pope and Catholic Church. See US Presidents and people of the US>>

Wrong answer on both counts. No one who is politically in the know was "following" Bush voluntarily. He stole his office seat. Obama is smarter than most people, but again there are dissidents like always. You DV listeners paid money to Tim Henson, so you lose.

Ok, pet peeve. Why do you consider Aaliyah a rock artist?

I was really sad when Aaliyah died. I never got the chance to never meet her so I could awkwardly ask her dumb questions while thinking about wanting to bang her. R Kelly did, though. Age ain't nothing but a number, huh?

I think they casted the right girl before January Jones for White Queen. Alice Eve looks appropriately nasty for the role.

The casting of Angel Salvadore doesn't settle any argument. Angelina Jolie played a black woman!

I thought that Kevin Bacon would play a good Mastermind, not Sebastian Shaw.

Dude that is what you're saying, where's the disconnect, did you not read what you wrote? You're saying you're not saying he's a failure because of the things he doesn't do but then as evidence to him being a failure you point out the things he didn't do.

Nick Fury is Sam Jackson in the movies because Nick Fury is Sam Jackson in The Ultimates. You know this.

Yes, but again, the original Earth-616 Nick Fury, the first Nick Fury, the mold all others came from is white. Using the Ultimates version just proves that Hollywood can can pick and choose. They can even change their sexes. See Battlestar Galactica. So using that they picked a black actress to play Angel Salvadore to prove she is black in the comics is useless.

You have no idea how politics work, do you. And I wasn't just refering to Presidents recent. And seriously, they were following him.

Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet are both half-Jewish and two halves make a whole, therefore Zoe Kravitz is actually Jewish!

Why Tim has this bizarre obsession with trying to de-Spanishize Angel Salvadore I have no idea but I guess by his logic 616 Kingpin must be black too, since that guy from The Green Mile played him in the Daredevil movie.

Tim wants to crack the Xantes code, but who the hell would ever think they could have a rational conversation with Starman?

Zoe Kravitz is all fuckable, and that's all that should matter.

Seems that latinos (specifically ones with terrible blogs) love you, Tim. maybe it's my latino ancestry which brings me back to listen all the time.
