'THOR' due out in theaters next year 04/06/11

The film follows the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

I'm impressed with the costume at least and they got an Aussie to play Thor, so it's all good.
Iron Man 2 wasn't so great, hopefully this is better.
The plot already has me interested.

I'm glad the costume doesn't deviate away from the comic book counterpart. Gives me hope for the movie.

I knew Britain got IM2 a week early but Australia too? Nice. So far, the reviews have been mixed which generally doesn't bode well for a movie.

Courtney, do an early review of the show for THOOM! Come on, I gave you your start in the podcasting business via the East Coast leg of THOOM! (some call it PCX)

Ha! You just shot down your own proposal by admitting (via "opposite-speak") that THOOM! is a (minor) spin-off of the great Podcast X! Courtney (who's apparently grown up or something) has been doing her best to disassociate herself from all things PCX-related; hell, she hasn't posted anything over there in almost a month! Thanks for basically reminding her that although this might be the more safe/generic product here (except for when I'm on it, of course), you do have that unhealthy association with a certain dangerous podcast wayyy out there on the cutting edge.

Safe/Generic! Dang, that's some venom right there.

I do miss me some Courtney. Would love to hear her on PCX or anything.

T-Mafia is becoming Humbert Humbert from Lolita, right before our eyes.

HA! Nice reference.

Pfft. Humbert totally got to nail his twelve-year old version of Courtney in that book, so where's the insult?

I still say Alex Skarsgard would have made an amazing Thor. Why do you think they passed him over?

Wreck Roar said...

No clue but I do agree that Skarsgard could replace the current actor playing Thor.

I also agree about Skaarsgard.
