Yeah, people get jailed for "whistle-blowing", usually when the government considers it as compromising national security.War of the Worlds (2005)sucked. It's about a guy who spends his time trying to dump his kids on his ex. And he only half succeeds.
Tim, go watch Komodo Vs. Cobra on SyFy channel and tell me again how District 9 looks like that. I'll let you babble your whatever about the film, but to say that District 9 looks like the awful SyFy channel originals is ridiculous exaggeration.
"Babble my whatever about the film? To me it is babble when someone says this film is "finally something original" and "too complex" for detractors is "babble". We've all seen every element of this film in MANY mainstream Hollywood films. I'm talking about story structure and character. There a lot of stale archetypes and cliches in this movie. The premise is kind of new to Hollywood (its only been done once before in Hollywood as "Alien Nation") but the execution is cliche standard Hollywood stuff. Why'd we have to follow Wilkus in a pedestrian 3 act story structure? That is so "safe" and predictable. Why not a several storylines following the "Prawns", the an aliens rights activist, greedy corporate interests, etc.? THe audience interests would be better served by that.
"Yeah, people get jailed for "whistle-blowing", usually when the government considers it as compromising national security."Not when it concerns MURDER, which in this movie it did.
